Root Sports Southwest, the regional sports network that carries Astros and Rockets games, was rebranded Friday as AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

Root Sports Southwest, the regional sports network recently rebranded itself as AT&T SportsNet.

AT&T SportsNet is the collective name for a group of regional sports networks in the US in the Pittsburgh, Rocky mountains and southwest regions. As part of the rebranding, Troika designed a new logo alongwith a more iconic graphics package, bringing in a mixture of photography and animation. The placement of the 3D team logos inside a timelapse real world environment near the live stadium & popular landmarks is a nice addition and stays away from the fully 3d sets that is being used in every other sports packaging. The other packaging elements are also embedded in the real world buildings in alignment with the3d team logos look.
